TARKINE FOREST ADVENTURES AT DISMAL SWAMP

 
Experience mystery and intrigue of the Tarkine Forest Adventures at Dismal Swamp. Beneath the blackwood forest canopy lies another world. Dismal Swamp offers a fascinating journey into a place where the spirit of nature and the creativity of Tasmanian artists come together.

Begin at the visitor centre on the rim of the sinkhole, where the catilever, deck and fully licensed cafe perch high above, offering views over the canopy of the only blackwood swamp of this kind in the world. From here, descend 40 metres down the side of the sinkhole on a gentle stroll along a walkway or for those looking for an adrenalin rush, the 110 metre slide is not to be missed.

  
Down below, where the walkway and slide end, four pathways take you on a journey through a giant hole in the earth's surface. This journey is never the same for anyone who explores it.   Everyone that comes to Dismal Swamp sees, senses, hears, smells or feels something different. Maybe it can be explained...or maybe it's only meant to be understood as one of the mysterious moments that give meaning to our lives when we slow down enough to notice them.
