Teepookana Helicopter Flight - ex Strahan
Depart Strahan past the Strahan wharf, flying over the Teepookana State Forest to arrive at the King River valley to overfly the collapsed Quarter Mile Bridge.

From here climb up to the Teepookana Plateau to land at the fringe of the great Huon pine forest. A 15 minute break allows an easy walk on a boardwalk through the natural tranquility of this forest, passing 2000 year old Huon Pine trees, and on to the viewing tower which provides a panoramic 360 degree viewing.

After departing Teepookana Plateau, descend into the steep King River ravine to fly down river, over the Iron Bridge and the site of Teepookana township, which has been long since reclaimed by mother nature.

Follow the twisting King River to Macquarie Harbour, with views extending from Hells Gate, Ocean Beach to the Henty Sand Dunes before returning to Strahan.

Enjoy magnificent views of Frenchmans Cap as the seaplane joins the Franklin River at Mt McCall. After the white waters of the Franklin River, experience a landing on the Gordon River and take a short walk to Sir John Falls or just sit on the dock and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the majestic river, deep in Tasmania's World Heritage area. Departing the 800ft deep Gordon River Gorge, the seaplane over flies the river to Macquarie Harbour and returns to Strahan via the eastern side of the harbour, past historic Kelly Basin and the King River.
