STANLEY SEAQUARIUM

 
Situated on Fisherman's Dock at the base of 'the Nut', the Stanley Seaquarium features sea creatures of the southern seas so close that you can almost touch them.

The rock pool is a favourite with the children providing encounters with hermit crabs, seastars and other small inhabitants like urchins and scallops.

  
Huge Southern Rock Lobsters can be seen sheltering alongside finfish such as Trumpeter, Morwong and Wrasse. A variety of Shark species can be seen not far from Tasmanian Giant Crabs and the amazing Cephalods.   Our friendly staff are happy to answer any questions about these fascinating creatures and educational activity sheets are available if required.

The Seaquarium is wheelchair friendly and is designed to be viewed at leisure, but the average visiting time is approximately 30 minutes.
