MOUNTAIN VALLEY WILDERNESS HOLIDAYS

Hidden in a valley amongst the mountains in North-West Tasmania you will find Mountain Valley. Here you can discover the lost valley of Loongana (aboriginal for swift flowing water), deep river gorges, ancient flowing rivers and streams, home to platypus and the wild brown trout, abundant wildlife, peace and tranquillity, watched over by the dominant Black Bluff Mountain.

Here, nestled on the banks of the river beneath the often mist shrouded mountain on a 61h property registered with Parks and Wildlife as a wildlife habitat, are six log cabins. Each log cabin has fully equipped kitchens and private facilities, open log fires to snuggle in front of and their own verandahs to sit, relax and soak up the peace and tranquillity.

Candlelit dinners can be served to you in your own log cabin or you can dine in the rustic greenery.

This lost valley is home to many species of birds from tiny wrens to White Goss Hawk and the magnificent Wedge Tailed Eagle.

Tours are taken at dusk to show you the platypus as they forage for food in the still pools of the river, and you can marvel at the glow worm display in the grotto...

After dark you will be visited at your cabin by wallabies, possums, quolls and devils.
