In 1881, a tradition of brewing excellence was established on the banks of the Esk River, Launceston. James Boag believed in brewing the highest quality beers using only the finest Tasmanian ingredients. The pride and passion of our master brewers and workforce ensure this tradition continues today.

The 'Boag's Centre for Beer Lovers', located in the historic Tamar Hotel is the start and finish point for the brewery tours. It provides a rich and ambient environment for visitors to relax and learn something of the history of our proud brewery.

  
BOAGS DISCOVERY TOUR:
This tour offers an exclusive insight into key elements of the traditional brewing process and the state of the art packaging line at Boags. It concludes with a tasting of 4 award winning beers.		   BOAGS BEER LOVERS TOUR:
This tour provides a comprehensive insight into brewing techniques and modern technology that makes Boag's beer unique. It concludes with a unique tasting session of 4 award winning beers matched with King Island cheeses.

    The Beer Lovers Centre is open from 8:45am to 4:30pm weekdays.

    The centre offers tours for visitors with special needs, including wheelchair access. This must be advised at time of booking and requires 48 hours notice
