HILLVIEW HOUSE

Hillview House was originally built in 1840 and extensively enlarged by the Rev. W. Law in 1860 as a Church School.

It was restored in 1984 as a colonial guest house (each with it's own private facilities and individual decor).

Situated only minutes from the city centre it has sweeping views of Launceston and Tamar Estuary from the dining room where you will enjoy super home cooked breakfasts.

Launceston, the heart of the Tasmanian mid-north region is the ideal place to start your holiday.

There is so much to do and see whether it's the vineyards or Swiss Village along the Tamar Valley, the beautiful lush farmlands and historic villages of Evandale and Longford all within a half hour's drive. Even Cradle Mountain is only two hours away!

Launceston is a city of colonial architecture, beautiful parks and pedestrian malls and most spectacular of all is the Cataract Gorge where you can spend a day wandering through the historic Cliff Grounds, Victorian gardens with its peacocks, teahouse picnic area and swimming pool. There are also some spectacular walks for the more adventurous.
